On Tracoe Comfort tracheostomy tubes with speaking valve Type B, the valve carrier can be swiveled. This allows free access to the inner lumen of the tracheostomy tube, e. g. for suctioning of tracheal secretions. A stopper blocks the opening of the flap as soon as the valve is swiveled to the side.
Both speaking valves are also available with oxygen supply port.
The Tracoe Comfort Plus tracheostomy tubes have a wider bending angle of 100° and the tube length is between standard length (Tracoe Comfort) and extra-long (Tracoe Comfort XL).
Comfort Plus fenestrated tubes feature a double fenestration. In addition to the fenestration at the outer bend, they have two additional fenestrations at the inner bend. These provide additional space for exhaled air to reach the upper airways.
After each cleaning, the inner cannula(s) of the Comfort tracheostomy tubes should be lubricated with a drop of Tracoe Comfort Paraffin Oil directly behind the neck flange to improve the gliding of the inner cannula in the outer cannula.
